Canadian Prime Minister Arrives in Phnom Penh to Attend ASEAN Summit

PHNOM PENH: The Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, has arrived in Phnom Penh to attend the ASEAN Summit. The Prime Minister's plane arrived at Phnom Penh International Airport on Saturday morning, 12 November.

Prime Minister Trudeau will be attending the ASEAN-Canada Commemorative Summit and related summits from 12-13 November 2022. The ASEAN-Canada Commemorative Summit will celebrate the 45th anniversary of ASEAN-Canada dialogue relations.

According to a statement made by the Canadian Prime Minister’s office earlier this month, Prime Minister Trudeau will promote regional peace and stability, rules-based trade, economic growth that benefits everyone, and strong ties between all peoples at the Summit.

Prime Minister Trudeau will also be attending the G20 Summit in Bali, Indonesia, the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders’ Meeting in Bangkok, Thailand, and the Eighteenth Summit of La Francophonie in Djerba, Tunisia.
